Government assures "Areas of outstanding natural beauty and the green belt will be protected"

In a report released this week, the Government vows to protect AONB and greenbelt land in its campaign to 'build, build, build' to help Britain bounce back from the pandemic. The idea of 'automatic' permission is being mooted, but the AONB's highest protected status will be adhered to during the decision process.
