Appeal decision: ALLOWED by Planning Inspectorate

After the long awaited appeal process to decide the fate of Oakley Farm Pasture Slopes AONB, a decision was finally made on 5th October 2022. Sadly, the planning inspector allowed the appeal and therefore has approved the application to develop the land for up to 250 homes with access to the site from Harp Hill.

This decision is final, however, a challenge can be made to the High Court on a point of law,

if it can be shown that the inspector has misinterpreted the law or applied the law incorrectly. We are liaising with Cheltenham Borough Council on points of law but the final decision will be theirs as we (Friends) do not have the resources to fund a judicial review.

People who disagree with this outcome can lobby their local councillors and MP to ensure their voices are heard.
